Coordinator, Point of Care Testing - Laboratory Administration - Full Time - Guthrie Healthcare : Job Details

Position provides laboratory technical support and regulatory consultation for the Point of Care Testing Program (POCT) and assists with standardizing POCT protocols throughout the Guthrie system. Works closely with inpatient staff to coordinate: POCT training and proficiency testing, device implementation and upgrades, POCT reagent inventory, health information system and POCT web-based middleware connectivity and quality assurance monitoring of the POCT program. This program operates under the medical direction of the Laboratory Director or designated pathologist. Education, License & Cert: Must be a Medical Technologist with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in the clinical laboratory. Experience: Must have in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, principles, tests, instruments, and statistical analysis.
