Job DetailsJob Location New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY Salary Range $64350.00 - $75000.00 Salary/year Description Position Summary: The Coordinator of Student and Alumni Engagement plays a key role in cultivating dynamic relationships between the LaPenta School of Business and its student and alumni communities. The coordinator is responsible for enhancing engagement, strengthening the LSB brand through digital platforms, supporting student organizations, and working collaboratively across campus departments to foster community and professional development opportunities. Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinates and hosts, as necessary, internal LaPenta School of Business (LSB) events for undergraduate and graduate students
- Serves as the LSB liaison for events/activities held in partnership with Admissions, Advancement, Alumni Affairs, and other Iona University offices
- Serves as the LSB webmaster, working with MARCOM to ensure an up-to-date informative, and engaging.
- Creates and maintains the LSB social media presence (including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and others, as appropriate)
- Maintains an updated Atrium video board for LSB events
- Engage alumni in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, identifying alumni to be featured on social media and on the LSB website
- Supports faculty advisors of the LSB student organizations, including creating and maintaining a master calendar of all LSB student events
- Collaborates with alumni/faculty to create off-site organization visits
- Builds and Leverages relationship with alumni to identify student internship opportunities and serves as a liaison with Career Services
- Represents the LSB at on-campus events (e.g. open house, accepted students days) and off campus (e.g. Westchester County Association)
- Creates press releases on student and faculty accomplishments for dissemination on and off campus
- Develops and manages a quarterly electronic newsletter targeting alumni and friends of the LSB
- Manages (and sometimes delivers) 'professional development' activities or programs for students
- Collects and analyzes data on student and alumni engagement and uses data to inform outreach and engagement. Shares pertinent information with campus partners (Career Development, Advancement Office, etc).
- Partners with Advancement and Alumni Affairs to identify alumni to serve on advisory boards and collaborates with chairs to manage the boards
- Coordinates LSB alumni events in partnership with Advancement and Alumni Affairs.
- Oversees student advisory boards at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including identification and recruitment of students to serve on boards
- Assists faculty with the coordination and planning of LSB sponsored study-abroad trips. Serve as a chaperon as needed.
- Writes and disseminates a weekly student newsletter
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Reports directly to: Dean, LaPenta School of Business Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-related field
- Experience with website management
- Digital marketing experience, especially in enhancing social media engagement
Preferred qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience in a marketing-related field;
- Experience in event planning;
