Posting Details Posting Summary Position Title Coordinator of Campus Life Job Category Administrative Staff Salary Range $62,423 Position Type Full Time Department Campus Life Job Summary Assists in providing a diversified and robust Campus Life program that aligns with and enhances the academic programs and reinforces classroom learning outcomes. Responsible for developing effective programs, overseeing activities and events, and measuring their success by overseeing the day-to-day functioning and activities that are assisted, supported and facilitated by the Campus Life Department. Assists in the overall coordination and execution of the college's campus life programs and assumes all major responsibilities and duties of the Director in his/her absence. Coordinate the daily activities and events of the student club and organization programs and advise the Student Activities Programming Board. Counsel the student leaders and advisors of each student organization in the development and implementation of programs and activities. Provide guidance to faculty and staff advisors in various aspects of programming, contractual matters, and vendor selection. Administer student organization budgets and various Campus Life budgets. Review and amend contracts for goods, services, and programs. Coordinate campus-wide activities, programs, and services such as the facility use coordination and oversee the game room and television lounge operations and Campus Life vehicle usage. Assist in coordinating, directing, and evaluating the new student orientation programs. Create and structure leadership development initiatives that are aligned with the core educational goals of the institution, including facilitation of workshops and seminars for the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). Coordinate and implement various aspects of campus wide programs, including off-campus excursion and cultural programs. Assist in the implementation of club council programs in conjunction with other college departments, divisions, and committees that are aligned with the core educational goals of the institution (e.g., Special Events, Performing Arts, Diversity, Cultural Engagement, etc.). Assist in the implementation of the Campus Life Appreciation Dinner Dance. Assist in delivering an outcomes and assessment program that focuses on enhancing student engagement. Serve as one of the college's Campus Security Authorities, responsible for reporting to Public Safety any activities that may be considered criminal incidents. Serve on college committees, as well as local, state, and national associations. Stay up to date on campus life and engagement strategies through professional development. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Education A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's Degree is preferred with preference in Higher Education Student Services, Student Affairs Administration, or related field. Qualifications - Experience Minimum of two (2) years' experience/training in college Student Affairs administration or equivalent combination of education and experience in a college setting (with a special focus on the community college) is preferable but not required. - Familiarity with various computer software programs and student information systems.
- Knowledge of program management or program administration is strongly recommended.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to problem-solve. Bi-lingual preferred.
- Ability to de-escalate and navigate difficult situations, and experience in working with key personnel in various college divisions.
