Our Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center delivers comprehensive and specialized care for patients with traumatic injuries. The Stroke Center at NYU Langone HospitalSuffolk is designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Primary Stroke Center, with expert neurologists available to provide treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, NYU Langone HospitalSuffolk has multiple outpatient sites, including an outpatient wound care center, a hemodialysis center, and various primary care and specialty offices.
Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coordinator, Logistics - Biomed - Full Time Days - Biomed - Suffolk. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting Logistic Managers and Project Managers with the management of systems, procedures and means of procurement to supply nursing units with standard items, services and equipment. Collaborate with managers in the analysis of utilization, needs and practices; develop and implement cost containment and cost reduction.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 0-1 or more years of project management or procurement experience or supply chain experience in an acute care facility, healthcare, or related environment. PC literacy is required with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications: 3 years supply chain, project management or procurement experience in an acute care facility, healthcare or related environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with computerized inventory management and warehousing systems such as barcode and handheld scanning devices etc. Effectively able to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute work/projects with attention to details. Accuracy in record-keeping. Strong attention to detail. Participates in identifying problems and suggesting solutions. Maintains professional interactions with clinical customers and supply chain staff. Demonstrates an ability to function successfully in stressful situations. Exhibits courteous, compassionate and respectful treatment of internal and external customers. Highly motivated and detail oriented desired. Must be able to handle multi tasks. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.

The salary range for the role is $61,001.75 - $97,655.85 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
