Coordinator, Entertainment & Events Position Overview: The Chicago Bulls Entertainment & Events department is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and dedicated professional to join as Entertainment Coordinator. This individual will play a key role in the daily coordination of Bulls Entertainment Teams, including performance groups, in-game entertainment, and community appearances. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Entertainment this role supports both strategic and operational functions related to game day execution, entertainment team logistics, and event planning. Responsibilities: As the Coordinator, you will be part of a dynamic team and will assist the team's efforts that are both in line with the Bulls brand strategy and positively represents the City of Chicago. Responsibilities include:
  • Work in tandem with Senior Manager, Entertainment and the Event Production Team on performance bookings for events & activations.
  • Book, and serve as on-site point-of-contact for, all National Anthem performers and select halftime performers.
  • Submit a monthly music schedule to the Game Production Team, which outlines the game date, performance teams, the name of their performance tracks and the length of each track, manage music Dropbox.
  • Serve as a game runner, stage manager, or production associate at all Chicago Bulls home games including set-up and execution of game-breaks (activations, contests, entertainment groups, promotions, etc.)
  • Prepare and coordinate administrative materials for department, entertainers, and game hosts prior to each game production meeting (e.g. rundowns and scripts) and game rehearsal (e.g. pre-game stations, live shots, contests).
  • Create and distribute day-of-game entertainment credentials, performer/staff tickets, scoreboard messages and locker room assignments.
  • Assist in execution of video shoots (i.e. Media Day, Mascot video routines, etc.).
  • Help maintain season-long game programming schedule.
  • Assist in implementation of pregame activities on court (pregame group events, sound-checks, rehearsals, special ceremonies, Opening Night, Fan Scrimmage, etc.), as well as concourse/Atrium (Atrium Theme Night Performances).
  • Assist at all Bulls Entertainment Orientations, summer auditions and clinics (registration, travel, audition logistics, waivers, etc.).
  • Organize performer profiles for Athletic Trainers.
  • Assist in the execution of team-related events and event transportation (i.e. etc.), attend appearances and events when necessary and as assigned.
  • Support Costume Coordinator and Event Coordinator in procuring, tracking, and moving prop and equipment inventory, as well as miscellaneous maintenance tasks, as needed.
  • Work with the costume coordinator on building costume information sheets with apparel and costume sizes and support ordering process for all entertainment uniforms.
  • Support all necessary office administration, including, but not limited to: People & Culture paperwork (new hire, background checks, employment agreements, NBA waivers, rules and regulations, contact sheets, etc.), invoicing and payroll for the entertainment teams (including the Master payroll spreadsheet), game ticket distribution, and choreographer bookings/contracts/travel/logistics.
  • Assist securing performance team game dates on the Entertainment Schedule for the season and distribute season game schedule to each team's coach.
Windy City Bulls Responsibilities:
  • Book select National Anthem performers and halftime performers, when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sports, entertainment or events related field
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate articulately and confidently, within the team and in front of fans and other stakeholders
  • Working experience with Shoflo a plus
  • Has sports knowledge, basketball knowledge a plus
  • This role requires flexible work hours and will include work outside of normal office hours during the business week and on weekends.
Compensation & Benefits: The base salary range for this role is $45,000 - $50,000 annually and is eligible to earn overtime pay + annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The Chicago Bulls offer workplace flexibility. Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area.
