Lead MSNBCs copy team as head copy editor, coordinating team shifts and schedules, liaising with other editorial leads and maintaining team trainings, professional development and editorial standards. Edit quickly and thoroughly, sometimes after pieces are published. Engage in productive dialogue with reporters, editors and managers as needed. Make sure MSNBC.coms coverage meets the highest standards Qualifications. Qualifications:A bachelors degree or relevant work experience. At least 7 years of experience in daily journalism as a copy editor. A strong knowledge of AP style. Must have the desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive environment. Experience working with politics and/or opinion journalism strongly preferred. The position requires enthusiasm, patience and positive communication skills.
