Quality Engineer - CMM Programmer / 61148

$70-90K DOE

We are hiring a Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer to join a high-performance aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring product quality through inspection, CMM programming, and process improvement. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, a background in aerospace manufacturing, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Program and operate CMMs for precision inspections
• Perform first article inspections and balloon drawings using DISCUS
• Inspect finished parts and assist with lab overflow
• Manage calibration systems and quality documentation
• Lead corrective/preventive actions (SCAR, RMA, CAR processes)
• Participate in ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100 audits and planning meetings
• Support continuous improvement and serve as backup to the Quality Manager
• Analyze inspection data and report on product acceptance

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's preferred)
• 1–2+ years of experience in quality engineering or inspection (aerospace preferred)
• CMM programming experience required
• Strong knowledge of metrology and blueprint interpretation
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
• QC-Calc and DISCUS experience a plus

• Excellent communication and project management abilities
• Attention to detail and solid math/statistical skills
• Able to work in lab, office, and shop environments
• Must pass a visual acuity test; lift up to 40 lbs
