Cook - Kentucky Staffing : Job Details

Adecco is currently assisting the Mayfield Youth Development Center in their search to fill a Cook position in Mayfield, KY. This is a long-term possible temp to hire opportunity. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing items for clients to enjoy. Schedule will require full flexibility, weekends will be included. Pay will be $16.43 per hour.

Responsibilities for this Cook position include:

• Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
• Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours
• Prepares all special dietary needs as directed
• Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheld
• Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated by standardized recipes
• Tastes and prepares food to determine quality
• Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
• Assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employees
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures
• Attends all in-services as required
• Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
• Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility with work schedule, weekends may be included
• Ability to work alone and in teams
• Successful completion of recognized food safety course preferred
• Excellent attendance record
