The Cook sets the tone for Sonestas mission by always going above and beyond for our guests and coworkers. The roles primary responsibility is to prepare and produce food orders according to quality standards. The Cook shall maintain a safe work environment and follow established sanitation and safety standards. This individual is expected to work 6 AM-12 PM with an opportunity to pickup more shifts. Job Description. Work Environment. Must be able work in a fast-paced environment. Majority of work takes place indoors. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures - i.e. freezers, loading dock. Physical Demands. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Frequent bending, kneeling and reaching. Ability to stand during entire shift. Expected Hours of Work. Scheduled to work four 6 AM-12 PM shifts. Must be flexible to work some nights.
