Job Description :
Read, understand, and verbally communicate menus to residents and other team members. Safely operate all equipment within the department. Able to use a chef knife safely and efficiently. Able to prepare a wide range of quality food with recipes and some without recipes including special diets (vegan, vegetarian, without gluten...) world cuisines (American, Italian, Indian...), and types (entrees, sides, soups, desserts, sauces...). Maintain a clean-as-you-go philosophy. Able to prepare food in a timely manner which is consistent with others in the same position. Able to utilize extra time to find tasks on your own without needed direction from management. Prepare, present and store product using required HACCP standards. Understand entre specials as well as menu rotation; may research and design additional menu items for the operation. Have ability to see forward through the week and utilize product accordingly.
