Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Cutting and Finishing departments by providing leadership and supervision to subordinates and serves as the link between direct reports and middle/upper management. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.
Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Manufacturing experience preferred. Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts and clamp trucks preferred. Leadership skills ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.

Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience in a converting facility is preferred. Experience and knowledge of roll stock cutting machines, printing presses, die cutting machines, and straight-line gluers is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
SAP, MS Office and database programs.
Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
