We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Controls Technician to become a part of our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems and equipment. This role demands a robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including the ability to modify, upgrade, and perform new installations. The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing issues.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure optimal system performance.
- Document and report all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controls Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, VFD's. relay logic and automation equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific control systems or equipment used in electrically driven centrifugal pumps.
- Familiarity with pump service industry-specific software and tools.
- Additional certifications or training in control systems and automation.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in various environments, including industrial settings.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
