What you will do:

As the Controls Product Manager, you will own all controls-related products including AERprocess, VFDs, AERtronic, and products of the Industrial Control Panel. Your responsibilities will include market research, competitor analysis, pricing, and training (both internal and external). You will collaborate closely with Electrical & Controls Engineering teams and the Sales Team to ensure successful implementation of solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Provide product information and support marketing efforts with collateral, features, benefits, and ROI analyses.
  • Create product requirements and work with sales, engineering, and sourcing teams to develop solutions. Maintain product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for real-time data collection.
  • Train sales and service teams on product applications, solutions, and competitive advantages.
  • Support the development of best practices for project startups involving Controls.
  • Facilitate customer training programs and seminars to demonstrate product value.
  • Provide quotes and technical support for products; train Application Engineering teams in quoting processes; assist with pricing strategies.
  • Work with Electrical Engineering and suppliers on the Industrial Control Panel launch and sourcing strategies.
  • Address quality and performance issues, identify root causes, and support product improvements.
  • Estimate product line profitability in collaboration with finance, considering costs and aftersales profit.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement and market alignment.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain for parts lists, lead times, and inventory needs.
  • Engage with peers to expand the scope of customer solutions.
  • Support global growth initiatives in controls and control panel products under leadership.
  • The role may include additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

    Experience: 3-5 years in sales engineering or engineering design, with control systems or VFD experience preferred.

    Skills: Strong planning, communication, organization, data analysis, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to travel 25-35%. Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider is a plus. Experience with Navision is advantageous.

    Language & Leadership: Excellent communication skills; capable of training and presenting; customer-focused with leadership and change management abilities.
