Controls Engineering Technician - American Axle & Manufacturing : Job Details

The Controls Engineering Technician leads the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of machinery and automation for use in manufacturing. Applications are sophisticated, requiring cross-disciplinary integration and wide application of concepts. Seeking a candidate available to work an off-shift schedule, including weekends. Job Description - Work with electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs and PLC control systems for machinery and automation. - Basic understanding of robot operation and programming. - Strong troubleshooting skills. - Understanding of safety in a manufacturing environment and how it applies to machinery. - Experience with fluid power systems. - Working experience with vision systems. - Work effectively on a team and in individual situations. - Experience with CNC machine troubleshooting. - Assist plant maintenance troubleshooting equipment. - All other duties as assigned.
