Controls Engineer - Palmer Group : Job Details

Palmer Group is proud to represent a leading manufacturer of custom stainless steel equipment in their search for a skilled Controls Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems, including developing schematics, I/O panels, system narratives, and PLC/HMI programming. • Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What you will do:

• Develop and document control systems, including schematics, I/O lists, panel layouts, and programming for PLCs and HMIs
• Create control narratives and commissioning plans to guide system implementation
• Collaborate with customers and project engineers to gather requirements and ensure project milestones are met
• Clearly communicate technical challenges or updates to both clients and internal teams
• Design electrical control panels using SolidWorks Electrical, ensuring accuracy and functionality
• Integrate control systems seamlessly into broader project frameworks for optimal performance

What you will need to be successful:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
