Job Description: Location: PEMC, Georgetown, KY Work Schedule: M-F 8/5 Project Duration: 12 months Requires Steel Toe Boots: YES Travel: 25% International travel- Potential travel to any of the Our Client North America locations including Canada and Mexico. This would include hands on work as the team does on-site deployment, installations. What is the business objective/business purpose of project? This group deploys/supports digital transformation and process improvement for Unit. Tell me more about your group/ line of business within Our Client. What does the make-up of your team look like? The team consists of 5 team members. 2 Sr. Engineers and 3 engineers. What other teams does your group interact with? The team will interact with NAMC maintenance and PE. TMNA seibi and controls. What is the typical hands-on day to day responsibilities for this resource? Typical day will include project design, customer interaction and feedback. On-sight deployment, installation and collaboration planned as needed. Who else would this resource be interacting with on a day-to-day basis? Team and NAMC maintenance and PE. Top 3-4 must have skill sets? PLC programming, Industrial networking, Installation management, commissioning experience. What you'll be doing: As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency by designing and implementing advanced data collection, visualization, control systems, and process improvements for equipment across our Stamping, Plastics, Casting, and Powertrain shops. This may encompass: Developing and updating PLC, HMI, SCADA, vision systems, RFID, and IIoT systems. Creating and optimizing hardwire layouts, panel layouts, and field device layouts. Overseeing installation supervision and commissioning processes to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Requirements: What you bring: BS in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Work Experience. Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming Solid understanding of Industrial networking Electrical hardware design experience Experience with equipment installation and commissioning Strong multitasking ability Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bonus if you have: Our Client Production System Knowledge Stamping Press, Injection Molding, Casting, CNC Automation Equipment Knowledge Experience with Ignition Software At KAYGEN, we are always looking for dynamic, talented and experienced individuals.
