CONTROLS ENGINEER - Berry Global : Job Details

Investigates, develops and implements activities to reduce machine downtime while increasing process efficiency. Reviews, assesses and designs safety devices and controls as needed. Research, design, and develop controls systems for industrial use utilizing knowledge in engineering and consultation with equipment manufacturers. Plan department activities based on production schedules to make optimum use of manpower and facilities. Make recommendations for development action; analyze, modify and improve programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI). Provide design and technical support of PLC based hardware, and control systems in a production environment (primarily Allen Bradley with some Siemens and Omron). Provide on-going maintenance support and resolution of control system problems, including taking ownership of such problems to completion.
