Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing machine performance and efficiency through monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze machine cycle times using plant software to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, robotics, and other automated equipment.

• Maintain and update program backups for all production machinery.

• Program and commission new machinery and conveyor systems during installations.

• Implement engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives through control system reprogramming.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in controls engineering and system debugging.

• Proficient in PLC logic, with hands-on experience using Siemens and/or Indramat PL7.

• Strong electrical skills with knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, and motor controllers (e.g., ArmorStart).

• Familiarity with industrial networking and Ethernet-based control systems.

• Ability to read prints, use AutoCAD, and interpret and modify electrical schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and optimize equipment for improved quality and delivery.

• Hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems.

• Experience with Siemens / PL7.

Work Environment

This position is set in a manufacturing environment, requiring full-time onsite presence. The role involves working with advanced technologies, including PLC programming and various control systems, in a setting that demands precision and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
