Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing machine performance and efficiency through monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting automated equipment.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze machine cycle times using plant software to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, robotics, and other automated equipment.
Maintain and update program backups for all production machinery.
Program and commission new machinery and conveyor systems during installations.
Implement engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives through control system reprogramming.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in controls engineering and system debugging.
Proficient in PLC logic, with hands-on experience using Siemens and/or Indramat PL7.
Strong electrical skills with knowledge of servo systems, VFDs, and motor controllers (e.g., ArmorStart).
Familiarity with industrial networking and Ethernet-based control systems.
Ability to read prints, use AutoCAD, and interpret and modify electrical schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and optimize equipment for improved quality and delivery.
Hands-on experience with ABB robotic systems.
Experience with Siemens / PL7.
Work Environment
This position is set in a manufacturing environment, requiring full-time onsite presence. The role involves working with advanced technologies, including PLC programming and various control systems, in a setting that demands precision and attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
