Position Summary

Controls Engineering design position for the design of custom tooling and equipment.

Role Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical controls design
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
  • Strong knowledge of electrical control system design principles and methodologies
  • Experience with industrial automation and control systems
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Position Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, automation systems, and other applications
  • Develop control system architecture, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
  • Select and specify electrical components, such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators
  • Design network architecture and specify network components
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure control systems meet project requirements
  • Document design specifications, technical drawings, and test results
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical control system technology
  • Adapt to both customer and internal design standards
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites
