Controls / Automation Engineer (3rd shift) - Adecco : Job Details

Adecco has partnered with a global automotive technology manufacturer and we are seeking a skilled 3rd shiftControls / Automation Engineer to join the team in Columbia City, IN. This role is critical in driving innovation and efficiency in their advanced manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a background working in a manufacturing environment with a strong knowledge of automation technologies (including PLCs, robotics, and process control systems) along with proven experience in industry converting manual processes to automated.

Key Knowledge & Skills:

• PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, Bosch)
• Selection of PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs, sensors, vision systems, and safety devices
• Programming of ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, and Festo robots
• Ability to read electrical diagrams (European & American systems)
• Industrial network design & integration
• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards & risk assessments
• Familiarity with TS16949 & ISO14001 requirements
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software) is necessary to succeed in this position.
