Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilledControls Engineerto support industrial automation and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with various control systems, software tools, and vision systems. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment with a strong emphasis on Siemens and Cognex platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and debug PLC and HMI applications usingSiemens TIA Portal (TIA17)andSTEP7 V5.6 + SP2
  • Configure and troubleshoot motor drives usingSTARTER V5.3+andSTARTER V5.5, includingSSP_SINAMICS_V5_2_SP3_HF7
  • Work withSIMATIC S7 Distributed Safety 5.4 SP5for safety systems and compliant automation solutions
  • Integrate vision systems usingCognex In-Sight(versions 24.1 & 6.5) andDataMan 23.2.2
  • Program and configure fastening systems usingToolsTalk W14.6andToolsTalk 2.18.1
  • Support error-proofing and process quality tools such asTox 2.2.5andASPYREConfigurator V121139
  • UtilizeUltraPro 7.9.2for torque control systems
  • Implement and manage power supply systems withPowerconfig_V323
  • Provide technical support for washers onVBA systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems
  • Proven experience withSiemens automation systems, includingTIA Portal, STEP7, and STARTER
  • Proficient inCognex vision systemsetup and debugging
  • Familiarity with tooling systems such asToolsTalkandTox
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and support installation/start-up as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge ofsafety PLCsand distributed safety systems
  • Experience integrating systems across multiple platforms (vision, motion, safety, and power)
