Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $130,000 per year.Job Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and general ledger, updating codes as contracts change.
• Review bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate agency allocations before system entry.
• Manage financial and grant accounting to align expenditures with program budgets.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis and profit and loss statements to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Maintain internal controls for receipts, expenditures, and client-related accounts.
• Enforce compliance with accounting policies, funding terms, and regulatory guidance.
• Support audits and prepare schedules for financial and tax reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, procurement, reimbursements, and daily cash receipts.
• Collaborate with compliance teams on government audits and monitoring activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit or grant accounting practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Show experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and financial reporting systems.
