• Overseeing daily accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage the internal accounting team of 3 accountants including (sr., junior, and staff).
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures according to local and national governmental standards.
• Prepare and manage complete financial statements, reports, corporate annual reports, and orderly account filing systems through analytical evaluation.
• Assist the accounting team to ensure payroll processing on time and ensure employees receive all reasonable discounts.
• Manage periodic bank reconciliations and debt payments.
• Regulate and manage the budget, forecast, and partner with the CFO for full control over accounting transactions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and the owner team in capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations to ensure profitability across markets.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
• Guide strategic financial decisions and provide financial planning for the company's future.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Proven experience in a Controller/Leadership role.
• Understanding of Deltek Vantage Point or Deltek Vision.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Experience and knowledge in the engineering industry is a plus.

The pay range is $68.00 - $75.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, employee assistance, and leave options. Eligibility depends on employment status and may vary.

This is a hybrid position based in Chicago, IL.
