Controller - Connext : Job Details

About the Role:

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all the financial aspects of the business. The Controller will manage, train and supervise a team of direct reports and report to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate and enforce accounting practices and procedures within the department, with vendors and customers
• Build annual and monthly budgets
• Track P&L and Cash Flow
• Financial Planning & Analysis
• Identify gaps in accounting process and implement best practices and tools
• Solve day-to-day accounting specific questions and statement questions
• Prepare weekly AR/AP reports
• Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve issues regarding payments, questions, disputes or escalating past due accounts
• Lead month end close
• Account reconciliations

Requirements:

• 10+ years of Accounting Experience
• 5 years of Management Experience
• 5 years of Cost Accounting Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Business
• Successful managed a team of direct reports and helped grow and scale a team
• Solid knowledge of fundamental AR/AP (purchasing, invoicing, cash receipts) operations
• Proficiency with Quickbooks, Sage, Ariba, Excel and other accounting systems
• Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines

*This is an in office role 3x week.
