Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The role requires relevant experience and a bachelor s degree in accounting or finance. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSolid communication, technology, and analytical skillsPrior management experience helpfulPlanning and coordinating accounting operational functionsProviding direction and guidance to IT staffParticipation with upper management in the growth of businessManagement of all facility location expensesReviewing internal and external financial statementsCoordinating activities of external auditors and advisorsProviding management with information vital to the decision-making processAssisting with the budget processOversight of payrollProtects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as neededMonitoring business performance metrics, including billing management processComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniquesSkills and QualificationsBachelor s degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3-5 years experience in accountingManaging processesFinancial SoftwareDeveloping standardsTracking budget expensesFinancial skillsExperience with financial reporting requirementsMedical industry experience a plusPerformance StandardsThis position oversees the Accounting, Facilities, and IT Departments and reports directly to the Operations Officer.Interested in hearing more?
