Location: Fraser, MI Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually Description: Controller / Bookkeeper Location: Detroit, MI (On-site) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1st Shift Reports To: CEO / Ownership Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller/Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our company, which includes three distinct business entities under one umbrella. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required . Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the books for three business entities
• Oversee all general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting best practices
• Support leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Proven experience managing books for multiple business entities
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
