Job Description:The Controls Systems Applications Programmer will be responsible for programming, testing, implementing, and commissioning control systems as designed. The applications programmer will coordinate with the Design Team, Construction Team, and Client to ensure seamless integration.Qualifications include proven experience with PLC logic and HMI integration (Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE, Siemens, etc.) and HMI platforms (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, iFix, Ignition, etc.). Ability to read and create logic and P&ID diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing, and startup is essential. Experience with logic auto-generation from templates is a plus.The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background, develop and implement standard engineering practices, and provide detailed documentation post-project. This role may also lead project tasks as the project applications engineer.Primary Duties:Program control systems including SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and communication hardware as per project scope.Manage project tasks within scope, budget, and schedule.Coordinate with Design, Construction, and Start-up teams for control system integration.Download, test, and document control system and communication programs.Participate in field testing and commissioning.Willingness to travel as needed, with travel duration and frequency depending on project requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering. An Associate Degree with relevant experience will also be considered.Experience: 5 years in process control system programming, including SCADA, PLC, HMI, Operator Interface Terminals, industrial communication networks, and assistance in start-up and commissioning. Experience in water/wastewater, Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, or similar industries is preferred.Other: Excellent communication, leadership, and planning skills.
