Job Description:

Apex Systems is currently searching for a Controls Engineer to join our Theme Park client and their Ride/Show Team.

Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL - onsite 4 days, remote Friday

Duration: 22 months

Rate/Salary Range: $70-80/HR

Position Overview:

• Work on creative solutions and implementing control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance our guest experience.
• Contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation, and entertainment.
• Work on electrical and electronic systems that provide motion control of ride vehicles and animation.
• Have knowledge in software development in multiple languages on industrial controls or entertainment systems.
• Develop software design documents used to create and review code for various industrial control-based platforms and projects.
• Develop and maintain software code for Rockwell, Siemens, and Beckhoff PLCs.
• Develop and maintain C/C++ code on industrial embedded controllers.
• Develop and maintain software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces.

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or the entertainment ride and show industry.
• Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++.
• Experience in safety-related control systems.
• Experience in software development planning and documentation.
