As a Senior Technical Architect, you will drive innovation and modernization efforts for key projects, including the Illinois Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT), the Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW), and the Health and Human Services Innovation Incubator. HFS is an equal opportunity employer.Essential FunctionsServe as the lead technical architect for IMPACT and the EDWResponsible for day-to-day technical oversight of the IMPACT project and product solutionsManage the design and development of master data management solutionsProvide strategic guidance on the modernization of the EDW, including cloud migration strategyMinimum QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field or equivalent work experienceRequires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organizationPreferred QualificationsPrefers a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible project management experience particularly information technology projectsDemonstrated experience delivering working solutions that meet real user needsPrefers a thorough knowledge of hardware and software, languages, and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical servicesPrefers a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server. technology, with knowledge of API-first design and modern architectural patternsPrefers an expert level database administration skills and experience with data governance in regulated environmentsPrefers software development skills and experience, with understanding of accessible design principlesPrefers knowledge of Business Intelligence toolsPrefers working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ProjectPrefers a keen analytical and problem-solving skills beyond technical solutionsPrefers a strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities, particularly translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholdersPrefers experience mentoring teams and creating collaborative environmentsConditions of EmploymentRequires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal historyRequires ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptopAbility to work normal working hoursThe conditions of employment listed here are incorporated and related to any of the job duties as listed in the job descriptionWork Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Work Location: 401 S Clinton St, Chicago, Illinois, 60607Email: [email protected] Group: Leadership & ManagementThe main form of communication will be through email.
