Position Summary

The Contracts Manager oversees contract and subcontract activities as directed by the Director of Contracts. Responsibilities include support for proposal development, negotiations, award activities, file maintenance, administration, closeout, training, and compliance. The role ensures all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, supporting strategic goals, risk mitigation, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and partners. The manager will report directly to the Director of Contracts. The level (Entry, Mid, Senior) depends on experience and tenure with contracts/subcontracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage contract documentation through the contract lifecycle.
  • Coordinate meetings with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain contract files in compliance with policies.
  • Handle contract and subcontract activities independently.
  • Develop and deliver internal training on contracts practices.
  • Review and negotiate teaming and proprietary agreements.
  • Prepare and analyze subcontract reports.
  • Collaborate with departments to execute subcontracts successfully.
  • Participate in meetings to ensure contractual compliance and manage change control.
  • Manage data using ERP systems.
  • Balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Serve as the alternate contact in the absence of the Director of Contracts.
RequirementsExperience
  • Ability to manage diverse contract and subcontract workloads.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
  • Experience interpreting FAR, DFARS, and commercial terms.
  • Experience briefing senior leadership on program and contractual matters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in federal procurement, especially for actions over $1M.
  • Experience with FAR Parts 15 and 30.
  • Experience with CPSR requirements and export control regulations (ITAR, EAR).

Education

Bachelor's in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.

Employment Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass background check and obtain security clearance.
  • Must communicate in English.
  • Willingness to travel for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Pre-employment and random drug testing required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, sit for extended periods, and perform physical tasks as needed.
Work Environment

Primarily office-based with a fast-paced environment, requiring teamwork and cooperation.
