About the Role

Charlie Health seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Legal team. We need someone with an eye for detail and experience in technology, including hardware, software/SaaS, and hosted infrastructure and consulting services. You will work closely with key partners across Charlie Health, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business goals and minimize risks. The Contracts Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to procurement colleagues, providing practical contractual guidance and risk identification.

You will also help develop our contracts management function, creating playbooks, templates, and process documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts aligned with company objectives and legal requirements.
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure contracts meet business needs and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain organized contract documentation.
  • Develop policies and procedures to improve contract management efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor contract performance and address discrepancies.
  • Act as liaison with vendors, payors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide training on contract management best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize contract terms for cost savings and operational improvements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts; experience in high-growth tech companies preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong understanding of contractual provisions (e.g., confidentiality, indemnification, liability limitations).
  • Excellent task management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for behavioral health and healthcare innovation.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and proficient in English.
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule (4 days/week) in NYC and within 75 minutes of the office.

Additional Information

The total target compensation ranges from $62,000 to $95,000 annually, with a performance bonus. Total compensation including bonus may range from $65,000 to $105,000. Compensation is determined based on location, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits may include stock options.
