OVERVIEW:

Our client, US Fortune 250 company and a global medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Contracts Coordinator (Hybrid).

** JOB TITLE: Contracts Coordinator (Hybrid)

** LOCATION: Hybrid Role (Must be onsite Mon–Thu) | 3750 Torrey View Ct San Diego, CA 92130

** DURATION: 12 Months +

Pay Range: $33.00/hr. – $36/hr. (depending upon experience)

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of finance concepts & terminology
  • Understanding of legal concepts & terminology
  • Bachelor's degree OR 1+ year experience with contracts
  • Strong written & verbal communication (phone, email, instant messaging)
  • Ability to collaborate frequently with Sales personnel

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate full contract lifecycle from negotiation through execution (including software, maintenance, service, installation, and invoicing/reconciliation).
  • Partner with Sales team to manage contract workflow: lead info, quotes, redlines, negotiations, approvals, amendments/extensions.
  • Review profitability, ensure pricing strategy compliance, and obtain approvals.
  • Resolve post-deal issues: obligations, billing/revenue, customer inquiries.
  • Ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance across business offerings.
  • Communicate financial drivers of deals, structure contracts to balance customer needs and profitability.
  • Participate in process improvements (templates, terms, systems).
  • Accountable for meeting KPIs (e.g., contract cycle time).
  • Demonstrate speed, agility, accountability, and ethical decision-making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (business/legal/finance focus) or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year experience in a contracting team role
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, pricing, and profitability
  • Proven collaboration with Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Mgmt., and Sales leadership
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to train and mentor lower-level technicians
