Contract Manufacturing Quotation Specialist in Milpitas! (JN -092###-####51)

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Quotations Specialist for our client in Milpitas. This is a 100% onsite, Direct Hire role, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a starting salary of $80K-$90K based on experience. CANDIDATES MUST COME FROM THE CONTRACT MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY. CANDIDATES WITHOUT A BACKGROUND IN CONTRACT MANUFACTURING WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING.

Position Summary:

The Quotations Specialist reports directly to the Quotations Lead and is responsible for the preparation and analysis of requests for quotes to suppliers (RFQ). The Quotations Specialist may perform a variety of duties in accordance with their training, experience, and skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Examine, review, and evaluate cost data for accuracy, price competitiveness, and supply.

* Familiar with a variety of supplier commodities, electronics, sheet metal, packaging, PCBs.

* Examine pricing and compile finished quotes to include labor, material, test, overhead, and logistics.

* Perform a variety of complex tasks working with Suppliers, SQE, Supply Chain, Program Managers, etc.

Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in EMS, Electronic Manufacturing Services, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics Environment.
• Possess a BA/BS degree in industrial, mechanical, or business administration or equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Understanding of complex pricing negotiations.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with Macros and V-Lookups.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed, dependable, motivated, with excellent relationship and time management skills. ERP experience (preferably SAP).
• High integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.

Availability to work necessary hours, including during regular business hours, to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

• Preferred: APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) Certification.

This may include odd-hour teleconferences with global facilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Employees must sit, stand, walk, handle panels and boards, reach, talk, and hear for extended periods. Occasionally, lifting/moving up to 30 pounds may be required. Visual abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustments.
