Position: Sourcing & Contract Analyst

Location: Warwick, RI

Duration: 6 Months+ Hire possible

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and support IT Agency Managers in procuring IT solutions, from small to medium procurements. The role will support both Applications Development, and Infrastructure and Operations verticals within the VMO.
  • Responsible for working on an assigned set of IT Sourcing Projects, reporting to a Senior Vendor Manager and/or Deputy Director.
  • Products delivered range from Contract renewals / amendments to IT Statements of Work, Master Price Agreement purchases, and/or small RFI/RFP, etc.
  • Process assigned IT Sourcing Projects from scoping, RFx drafting, Evaluation, Contracting.
  • Supporting VMO managers, interacting with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including Legal, Purchases, Insurance, Agency resources, and others as needed.
  • Contract support: Review IT Contractual artifacts [Renewal or Amendment or SOW] and provide input to enhance favorable Terms.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead smaller to medium sized mini-bid negotiations, assisting a Vendor Manager with larger items.
  • Participate in other tasks as directed by the Vendor Sourcing Manager and/or Deputy Director.
  • Provide weekly written statuses.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years IT experience, preferably 3 years in IT Vendor Management and/or IT Sourcing
  • Understanding of IT products & services from a contract and vendor management perspective
  • · Understanding commercial [pricing services] with contracting and negotiation aspect.
  • Familiarity with contracting trends, licensing models
  • Familiarity of market knowledge of IT vendors (Application Services, SaaS, Consulting, I&O)
  • Knowledge of best practices for IT contract negotiation tactics and strategies.
  • Customer-focused approach to delivering contract management services to internal IT
  • Supplier agreements: knowledge of legal terminology related to supplier agreements
  • Ability to manage assigned workload, and multi-task
  • Ability to think logically and adhere to processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment
  • Experienced in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Very good communication skills, both written and verbal

Education

· Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant experience

Preferred Skills & Experiences

  • Familiarity with Public Sector Purchasing and Procurement Processes
  • Familiarity with Tools such as Archer and ServiceNow
  • Strong analytical skills
