The plant Lean Leader is responsible for driving the Tyson Lean MOS (Manufacturing Operating System) processes and ensuring the plant follows the standardized methodology. They will deliver lean training, ensure program governance, and coach team members on the Tyson Lean MOS program. They will advise the Plant Manager on process performance and culture ownership, maintain the War Room, publish weekly reports, and develop strategies for process maturity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain governance and program administration requirements.
  • Attend daily DMS Level meetings, provide coaching and feedback, and perform health checks.
  • Ensure problem-solving methodology is followed, including weekly meetings, A3 documentation, and project backlogs.
  • Publish weekly reports on the lean journey and milestones.
  • Maintain and update the War Room and all documentation weekly.
  • Manage the action item registry, ensuring visibility and tracking progress.
  • Act as liaison between the Corporate Lean Team and Plant Manager.
  • Assess culture of adoption using the maturity assessment tool.
  • Develop action plans with plant leadership for process improvements.
  • Assist with standard work instructions updates.
  • Troubleshoot issues with automated boards and escalate problems as needed.
  • Lead Kaizen events and collaborate across departments.
  • Communicate progress and challenges to leadership.
  • Coordinate project milestones and implement change management methodologies.
  • Train new employees on Tyson Lean MOS processes.
  • Use data insights to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze KPIs and develop strategies to optimize processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, agriculture, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years management experience in manufacturing; Lean/CI background a plus.
  • Effective communication, coaching, and documentation skills.
  • Travel less than 20% post-deployment.
  • Strong business acumen, lean/CI skills, process management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, and other applications.
  • Sponsorship not available; must reside in the U.S.
