JOB SUMMARY: The Continuous Improvement Lean Facilitator will focus upon multiple change management initiatives that span Operations and Information Technology. This role will oversee project design, asset gathering (TEAM), solution development, implementations and post implementation support of assigned projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and facilitates work activities of employees in assigned project
  • Takes strong ownership of work in progress and communicates with co-workers, Leadership, and Management
  • Works with Management and directs activities of all project personnel
  • Instrumental in conducting and administering employee training programs relative to Lean efforts
  • Assist, as needed, manufacturing staff by providing administrative support performing tasks related to Project Milestones, Project Reviews, Corrective Actions, and assist other departments
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Company policies and procedures
  • Plan and implement technical meetings to drive improvement initiatives to support the Key Results
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Comply with all APP safety rules, company policies, and to include code of conduct
  • Assist in Customer, Internal, NADCAP, and AS 9100 audits as required
  • Demonstrates a firm commitment to achieving APP's Key Results
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
  • Manages attendance and job costing entry information
  • Utilizes IFS reports to check job card information accuracy
  • Recommends improvements in the utilization of employees, equipment and floor space
  • Coordinates projects between management and workers.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Any combination of education, training and experience gaining possession of Lean concepts in a manufacturing environment. A typical qualifying background would include progressively responsible experience in AS9100, Quality systems, and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing.
  • Strong team development and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and exceptional follow-through.
  • Must be able to listen and communicate effectively orally and in writing. This includes communication with management and employees.
  • Must have knowledge of chart and graph generation and interpretation
  • Read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
  • Knowledge of production process and work flow process
  • Strength and Certification in lean methodologies and the ability to refine approach to APPs capabilities.
  • Robust Interest in improvement activities, and empowering others.
  • Ability to function in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to listen to project needs and requirements and effectively translate them into technical as well as functional requirements.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Microsoft Office; Internet-based programs, E-mail, experience with an ERP system (e.g. IFS, Cert App).

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend)
  • Able to communicate with visitors, customers, auditors, vendors, co-workers, Managers, and other personnel
  • Basic - addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, decimals, and percentages

Other

  • Possess a professional, proactive and positive approach, and a great attitude
  • Should be able to work in any shift including Saturday and Sunday
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of and lead effective teams
  • Ability to interact effectively with the company executives, managers, and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Handle multiple projects and priorities and perform well under pressure
  • Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • 4 years' experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of APP's policies and procedures
  • Strong grasp of company policies and procedures
  • Experience with aerospace and/or automotive parts manufacture and assembly.

Compensation: $28.47 - $37.96 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
