The Content Manager performing packouts plays a specialized role that combines project coordination, inventory management, customer service, insurance communications, and content restoration logistics. This position focuses on managing personal belongings, furniture, electronics, and documents from properties affected by water, fire, mold, or other damages. The Content Manager oversees the entire pack out process—from assessment and documentation to storage and restoration—ensuring that items are handled with care, accurately inventoried, and returned in good or better condition. This role also involves communication with insurance adjusters and preparation of pack out estimates for claim approval.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the packout of personal property from damaged structures (residential or commercial).
Evaluate which items are salvageable versus non-salvageable.
Create and manage detailed inventory lists using SERVPRO systems (e.g., Encircle, Xactimate).
Label, photograph, and organize items for storage, restoration, or disposal.
Prepare and submit pack out estimates to insurance adjusters for approval
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding their contents.
Clearly explain the packout and restoration process, setting expectations.
Provide regular updates and answer questions throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Requirements
At least one year of management experience
Experience in building a strong team with tangible leadership skills
Strong process and results driven attitude
Experience in the cleaning, restoration, or insurance industry is preferred
Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
