From our welcoming, inclusive, and flexible culture to our global and diverse business, we offer opportunities not only to help you reach your potential but also to contribute to our clients' achievements.Come join us in delivering better outcomes for our clients around the world!What is the RFP Content Team responsible for?The Content Team is a global group of writers and asset class specialists with responsibility for driving quality of proposal content by leading the process of sourcing, writing, editing, and maintaining standard responses held in the firm's broader Business Development and Client Reporting Group's content library. The team works closely with business partners across the firm to develop and maintain high-quality, compelling centralized language that conveys consistent messaging and a strong competitive advantage.What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Content Writer/Asset Class Specialist (Alternatives)?
  • Lead content creation and maintenance for sections of the content library, spanning public and private alternatives and multi-asset solutions, as well as other asset classes and firm topics when required.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc content reviews, including analyzing, editing, and proofreading content in accordance with review schedules, ensuring accuracy and consistency with product marketing initiatives, investment strategy team input, and house styles.
  • Provide product expertise and customization for Alternatives Specialist Investment Managers (SIMs) in support of RFP, DDQ and Consultant Database Services asset gathering/retention efforts, and other corporate announcements by assessing impact to existing content, and implementing changes in an efficient and timely manner, communicating key content additions and updates to the broader group.
  • Partner with experts across the firm on new language development, for example new product launches, marketing refreshes and platform evolution.
  • Collaborate with RFP, Due Diligence, Consultant Data Services and Marketing teams to ensure significant edits to library content are captured.
  • Assume responsibility for database administration on assigned content sections, ensuring accuracy and reasonableness of metadata and consistency of approach.
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Concentrated experience in alternatives in both public and private markets (for example, RFP, investment writing or product management) in an asset management environment. Exposure to digital assets and/or Fintech highly desirable.
  • University degree or equivalent knowledge and experience; MBA/CFA/CAIA desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and writing product and corporate-level material in a global asset management environment, with full responsibility for editorial components of projects; distribution background or participation in asset gathering process advantageous.
  • Team player capable of building and maintaining strong working relationships and interacting professionally at all levels of seniority and across cultures.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and keen eye for consistency and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus strong proofreading skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with exceptional multi-tasking, time management, project management and organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to adjust to changes in workflow and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with proposal software (or ability to master quickly), advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Word and PowerPoint.

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.
