Summary of Primary Functions Under supervision will need exceptional customer service skills who will be responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services Assist with daily member inquiries, including, but not limited to, savings rates, loan rates, MasterCard accounts, and account inquiries. Answer member inquiries regarding credit union loan programs, policies and procedures. Originate loan applications for all consumer loan products. Prepare member correspondence relating to loan applications, as needed; including, but not limited to, pre-approval letters, marketing promotions, and car sale events. Discuss available programs with members and work with members to determine best loan program for each individual member for submission to a loan officer. Calculate and review the HYLS recommendation for each loan. Review and make approval, counter-offer or denial recommendations for each loan. Follow-up on each loan with member and loan officer until a final decision has been reached. When loans are declined, work with member to explain reason for decline and offer suggestions for improvement that would still help improve the members financial position and standing. Submit all loan requests in a timely manner consistent with the organization's service objectives. May use credit union defined matrix to offer preliminary loan approval. Interface with loan officer on behalf of members. Follow-up and advise members of loan decisions. Provide basic and routine real estate information. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all documents received. Monitor incoming loan applications from all channels and work with members to facilitate their loan transaction from origination through to funding in a timely manner that meets the Credit Union's service objectives. Process approved loan applications for all consumer loan products, in all loan channels; including, but not limited to, online, phone, and in branch. With a committed focus on delivering a high quality of member service, must bring a strong work ethic and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external members. The successful candidate will have exemplary organizational skills and possess intermediate level computer skills. Requirements Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years' experience within a financial institution with demonstrated success in a sales, lending, and customer service environment. Advanced knowledge of teller functions, new accounts, member service, and loan products. Effective organizational and communication skills. Compensation and Job Title is commensurate with experience and may fall under the following pay ranges: Consumer Loan Processor I- $20.88/hr to $29.23/hr Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
