We are seeking an Application Suite Quality Engineer to lead the development and implementation of automated testing solutions within our Commercial Lines Solutions. Your role will focus on enhancing testing processes and preventing defect leakage to ensure the highest product quality.

What You'll Do:
  • Define, drive, and implement automation maturity, effectiveness, and metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders using excellent communication skills.
  • Embrace new tools, technologies, and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adopt an automate first mindset towards testing.
  • Leverage automation tools such as Tosca, Tosca API, Tosca DI, and Ruby, and manage test automation frameworks.
  • Understand databases and SQL for backend data validation.
  • Work with teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation best practices.
  • Apply deep understanding of QA processes and methodologies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

    As a Quality Engineer, you will plan and conduct a wide range of software quality tests to ensure all products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Your focus will include risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, test data management, environment management, and supporting continuous integration and deployment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure all information systems meet standards and user requirements.
    • Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical work to create automation scripts.
    • Apply secure software practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
    • Define and manage test plans, strategies, and metrics.
    • Use appropriate quality engineering tools for various testing needs.
    • Manage defects, including identification, tracking, and resolution analysis.
    • Consider user experience during the development lifecycle.
    • Proactively manage quality indicators while maintaining speed and efficiency.
    • Coordinate with Infrastructure & Operations and Architecture on test data and environment plans.
    • Set and oversee release test strategies and efforts.
    • Ensure compliance with release management processes and timelines.
    • Lead and guide team members.

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Reporting Relationships: Reports to Technology Manager or Director.

    Typical Skills and Experiences:

    Education: Undergraduate degree in computer science, MIS, or related field preferred.

    Certifications: Relevant certifications like TOSCA Automated Specialist (AS1, AS2) or similar are preferred.

    Experience: 6-8 years in test automation and optimization, with experience in agile environments.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical, communication, and planning skills; ability to manage multiple projects; industry knowledge a plus.

    Other criteria, including leadership or technical skills, may take precedence.

    Staffing exceptions require approval from the hiring manager and HR.
