  • Our client is a well-known and reputable GC out of the midwest with over 100+ yearsin business.
  • They've opened a new office before in Evansville - it is now a HUGE success and very profitable (so Savannah isn't their first time branching out into a new area.)
  • Company has a family-oriented environment with high technical competence. CEO is innovative and modern - he's a great relationship builder and personable with everyone in the company. Opportunity to get in on the ground level, be hands on in a new chapter of the company's history, and have opportunities to move into senior-level roles more quickly. Once they are established, the PX and Regional Director role is theirs for the taking. All PXs Directors, and VPs are promoted from within.
Job Description
  • Overall project administration, leadership, and technical direction of ground up projects
  • Manage bid requests, review bids, develop subcontracts
  • Direct lead for estimating and take offs
  • Handle all project buyout within designated time frame
  • Review project submittals for conformance to contract documents from subcontractors
  • Direction of all RFI's requested
  • Direction of all Submittal's requested
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan
  • Manage special Inspection Schedules
  • Work directly with Architects, Engineers and Municipalities to ensure plans are designed per owner specifications and value engineered
  • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates
  • Review Daily Reports and Safety Inspections from onsite Superintendents
  • Organize, attend, participate, and lead project meetings, including subcontractor meetings involving pre-construction, scope of work, scheduling, safety, etc
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
  • Managing and multitasking multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, CAD files as well as Municipality code and requirements

  • Someone who is confident in their ability and has experience leading people beneath them
  • Having relationships with subcontractors/trades people is HUGE
  • Looking for good tenure
  • MUST have ground up experience - need someone to help them do site work since the soil is very different up north
  • Prefer someone based between Savannah and Macon but will look at someone open to relocating to Savannah but they have to have experience in similar conditions/climate (wet soil, warmer weather, humidity, etc)
  • Must have technical competency, be personable, and flexible/adaptable
