Construction Site Superintendent - Miami Nation Stronghold : Job Details

Who We Are:

Stronghold is dedicated to serving federal customers in construction, operations and maintenance, design/build, engineering, studies and remediation, and commissioning projects. Stronghold has the infrastructure and assets to support a variety of projects in diverse geographic locations, from design to close out. Our customers include the Department of Defense (including US Army Corps of Engineers), and the General Services Administration. Miami Stronghold works on projects nationwide.

Site Superintendent

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site, capable of managing subcontractors, have experience working for the US Army Corps of Engineers and be located in Leesville, LA or willing to relocate to it for the duration of this project. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas to maintain an on-time project, and the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in understanding construction drawings, a critical path schedule and communicating project milestones with clients and other parties.

Location/Area: Fort Polk, LA

Project duration is expected to be 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily construction operations
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
• Manage subcontractors and construction site organization

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction
• 5+ years as a superintendent
• Strong project management and communications skills
• Familiar with EM 385-1-1 requirements
• Experience with Procore and RMS
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain
• Ability to read construction documents
• Experience supporting federal construction contracts strongly preferred
• Experience with US Army Corp of Engineers preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
• Preferred experience in heavy civil
