Job Description :
Culinary Depot is looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial kitchen installation projects for large-scale construction endeavors. The ideal candidate will manage projects from contract signing through to final completion and job closeout, ensuring a seamless and efficient execution of each project. Key responsibilities include reviewing drawings, preparing submittals, coordinating with general contractors, taking field measurements, managing equipment production, coordinating FDNY inspections, and scheduling start-ups, all while working closely with subcontractors and end users. Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Take charge of all aspects of commercial kitchen installation projects, from initial contract signing to project closeout.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general contractors, designers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Communication: Coordinate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Supervision: Oversee the installation team, ensuring adherence to project timelines, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Field Management: Take field measurements, coordinate FDNY inspections, and schedule start-ups.
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment at all times, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Accuracy: Guarantee that all tasks are completed accurately and according to project requirements.
Experience and Skills:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in commercial construction, with a preference for experience in commercial food service construction.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems relevant to commercial kitchen installations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Certifications: OSHA SST certification required.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Procore, Outlook, AutoQuotes, and drawing review tools.
  • Mindset: Proactive, with a strong get it done attitude and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
