Position Title: Construction Project Manager

Environment: On-site

Location: Richland, MS

Position Status: Direct Hire

Pay rate: $90,000 - 110,000/yr.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of project execution, from pricing to closeout. Your expertise will help plan, direct, and coordinate activities necessary to achieve project goals and objectives within set timelines and budget constraints. You will engage daily in overseeing construction activities, managing schedules, controlling budgets, and maintaining open lines of communication with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgeting and perform cost control activities.
  • Establish project budgets from estimates, conduct job cost reviews, update budgets monthly, and provide status updates to management. Support project billing processes.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules to meet or exceed customer goals.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier relationships, prepare subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage the change order process in accordance with company and project guidelines.
  • Plan and lead project meetings following established company protocols (Pre-Constructs, Progress Meetings, Close-out Meetings).
  • Document meeting minutes within five days and maintain organized project files. Ensure all communications are documented in writing.
  • Exercise project document control by managing Requests for Information (RFI's) and ensure timely clarifications to all affected parties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects in both occupied and exterior environments.
  • LEED Associate, State General Contracting Licenses, or other professional construction affiliations are a plus; PMP Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications, drawings, and local code requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and effective email communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be adept at completing estimates, RFPs, schedules, and necessary reports.
  • Must possess the ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in managing several subcontractors at once is essential.
