Job SummaryWe are seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead a major brownfield redevelopment and expansion project involving demolition of an existing structure and construction of a new Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB). The successful candidate will manage all phases of the project lifecycle with a strong emphasis on onsite jobsite safety, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, contractor management, and stakeholder coordination.
The selected candidate will initially work under the Senior Project Manager and assume full responsibility for the project beginning late September/early October. This role also includes overseeing the delivery, installation, and commissioning of critical equipment for the new facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage demolition and PEMB construction activities to meet schedule, cost, safety, and quality targets.
Oversee project budgets: forecast expenditures, validate contractor invoices, and report financials to stakeholders.
Lead daily site safety management: walkarounds, briefings, audits, and safety enforcement.
Ensure compliance with all permitting, environmental, demolition, and construction regulations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external contractors to align on work sequencing, safety, and milestones.
Proactively communicate with facility operators to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
Act as project lead for the installation and commissioning of new facility equipment.
Conduct site start-up meetings, daily coordination briefings, and monthly audits to maintain accountability and resolve issues quickly.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (required).
Experience
Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience, including PEMB projects.
Proven track record managing complex schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of demolition protocols, environmental regulations, and construction safety standards.
Familiarity with commissioning processes and technical documentation workflows (preferred).
Skills & Certifications
Proficiency with project management software and CAD tools (MS Project, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
PMP certification (preferred).
OSHA 30 certification (required or must be obtained within 90 days).
Experience with LEED or sustainable building practices (preferred).
Basic computer skills required (Outlook, reporting tools).
