We are looking for a Project Director (or a Senior PM/PX ready to level up) who is:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to provide executive-level leadership on complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Director will oversee multiple project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, on-time, and on-budget results. This role requires a proven leader with a track record of success on large-scale, ground-up projects and the ability to drive strategic execution while mentoring the next generation of construction leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for large, complex projects or multiple concurrent projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
- Lead project teams, including project managers, superintendents, engineers, and support staff, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Oversee preconstruction activities including estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews, and subcontractor selection.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and contract requirements.
- Monitor project financials, budgets, and schedules to achieve or exceed performance targets.
- Resolve escalated project issues, risks, or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency in project delivery methods.
- Mentor, develop, and evaluate project management staff.
- Represent the company in business development efforts, proposal presentations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial construction, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success managing projects $50M+ from ground-up through delivery.
- Strong financial management skills with experience in cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Deep knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and contract law.
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in complex, large value ground up commercial or light industrial construction.
- LEED accreditation or strong knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
- Familiarity with project management software (Procore, CMiC, Primavera, or similar).
