About the Role:

This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction scheduling and project controls within the energy sector. You will work closely with project teams to develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules while ensuring alignment with key project objectives and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage detailed construction schedules using contractor estimates and project team input.
  • Load and maintain resources within project schedules, ensuring data integrity and compliance with program standards.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of contractor schedule submittals for accuracy, logic, and adherence to contract terms.
  • Analyze critical and near-critical path activities and communicate schedule risks or trends.
  • Lead schedule updates, progress tracking, and the preparation of daily/weekly/monthly schedule reports.
  • Conduct schedule analysis, including milestone deviations, critical path reviews, and recovery plan development.
  • Integrate scheduling data with cost management systems to provide accurate, data-driven project reporting.
  • Support Lean Planning and Interactive Planning sessions, driving collaborative project execution.
  • Conduct field visits and oversee the preparation of construction progress reports for the client.
  • Provide direction to contractor teams and ensure schedule performance aligns with key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 10+ years of construction scheduling and project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and digital tools such as Power BI and Power Apps.
  • Experience in the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors preferred.
  • Knowledge of stage-gated project execution processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
