Construction Inspector / Office Engineer - nv5 global : Job Details

Responsibilities NV5 is seeking an Construction Inspector/ Office Engineer to work full-time on an upcoming landmark NJDEP linear park and transportation project in Newark, NJ. 15 months fulltime on site and thereafter as required with NJDEP or other NJ Transportation projects. 5 years minimum experience in a similar construction environment. Knowledge of NJDOT, NJ Turnpike specifications is beneficial. 30 minutes from jobsite a plus. Experience working with NJ EDA a plus. Responsibilities. Perform roles delegated by the Senior Resident Engineer. Conduct regular on-site inspections during various phases of construction. Verify that work is proceeding according to approved plans, drawings, and specifications. Verify that materials and methods used are appropriate and meet standards. Write detailed daily inspection, safety and environmental reports and maintain logs of daily activities, deficiencies, and progress. Photograph work for documentation and future reference.
