Position DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Inspection And Compliance

• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with blasting requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Inspect mechanical, civil, and structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
• Identify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications and recommend corrective actions.

Quality Assurance

• Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Perform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards

Reporting And Documentation

• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project status

Coordination And Support

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project completion.
• Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules.

Preferred QualificationSkills and Competencies – Mid or Sr. Level qualifications:

• Field experience with blasting.
• Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.

Degree Requirement for PositionNo, degree is not requiredPreferred: Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.Experience LevelConstruction Inspectors with 8+ years of relevant experience could be considered.Must have 5 years of field experience demonstrating ability to perform quality assurance inspections of blasting performed by other contractors. Experience with preparation and/or review of blasting plans is preferred.Experience In Maryland, Virginia, And Or Deleware Is Preferred.On-Site Position - West Baltimore, Maryland, South of Baltimore Penn StationSalary Range: $56,000 to $97,000 YRSeniority level
