The Houston office of a successful and growing law firm is actively searching for an attorney with zero to three years of litigation experience. Construction and construction defect litigation experience is a plus but not required.

Applicants should have experience in litigation and insurance defense. Organizational skills, ability to follow procedures, time management, and attention to detail are essential. Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability and experience to defend clients in various construction litigation matters. Ability to work independently and as part of a defense team is required.

• Attend hearings, mediations, and conduct trials
• Argue motions, take depositions of lay and expert witnesses
• Consult with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary
• Coordinate case handling with claims personnel

Doctorate degree and membership in good standing of the Texas State Bar.

• Zero to three years of litigation experience
• Deposition and trial experience is a plus but not required
• Background in construction and construction defect litigation is a plus but not required
• Insurance defense experience is a plus
• Excellent writing, research, and oral communication skills
